These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the High Tech Electric Co. website at hightech-electric.com and your engagement of electrical contracting services provided by High Tech Electric Co. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, submitting a service request, or entering into a service agreement with High Tech Electric Co., you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal authority to enter into binding agreements, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you are engaging services on behalf of a business entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2 Services

High Tech Electric Co. provides licensed electrical contracting services in New York City and surrounding areas, including but not limited to:

All work is performed by or under the direct supervision of a licensed Master Electrician. We reserve the right to decline any service request at our discretion.

3 Quotes & Estimates

Quotes provided via our website, phone, or email are estimates based on information available at the time of inquiry. Final pricing may vary upon on-site assessment if the scope of work differs from the initial description, unforeseen conditions are discovered (e.g., concealed wiring, code violations requiring remediation), or material costs change prior to project commencement.

All binding price agreements will be documented in a written proposal or contract signed by both parties prior to work commencement.

4 Payment Terms

Payment terms are established per project in the written service agreement. General terms include:

Non-payment may result in a mechanic's lien being filed against the property in accordance with New York State Lien Law.

5 Scheduling & Cancellation

Appointments are scheduled subject to technician availability. We make every effort to arrive within the agreed time window; however, we are not liable for delays caused by traffic, prior job overruns, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests should be made at least 24 hours in advance. Jobs cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee as specified in the service agreement. Emergency service calls are non-cancellable once a technician has been dispatched.

6 Permits & Code Compliance

All work requiring permits under the New York City Building Code will be permitted accordingly. Permit costs are the responsibility of the customer and will be itemized in the project quote. We will not perform work that requires a permit without obtaining that permit first.

If pre-existing code violations are discovered during our work, we are required to report them and may be required to remediate them before completing the requested work. Such remediation will be quoted separately.

7 Warranties

High Tech Electric Co. warrants all labor and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of project completion. This warranty covers defects in workmanship under normal use and does not cover:

Manufacturer warranties on installed equipment are passed through to the customer. We will assist with warranty claims at our standard labor rate.

8 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, High Tech Electric Co.'s total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the specific project giving rise to the claim.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9 Property Access

By scheduling service, you grant High Tech Electric Co. and its authorized employees and subcontractors reasonable access to the property at the agreed service times. You represent that you have the authority to grant such access. We will take reasonable care to protect your property, and our technicians are required to maintain a clean and professional work area.

10 Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, images, and software — is the property of High Tech Electric Co. or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written consent.

11 Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Queens County, New York.

Before initiating legal proceedings, both parties agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve disputes through direct negotiation for a period of 30 days.
